John’s primary interest area is within the built and natural environment. He holds a degree in Estate Management from Oxford Brookes University together with an advanced diploma in Planning and Environmental Law from the Honorable Society of Kings Inns. He holds a number of minor awards including a certificate in Building Surveying from the RICS. He was accepted as a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland in 2008.
His areas of expertise are:
- Property and land – Marketing of property. Sale of property by auction, private treaty, tender. Land assembly.
- CPO – Acting for landowners. Representation at oral hearing, assessment, arbitration (roads, greenways, utilities)
- Telecoms – Survey, Design, Planning consents. Acquisition inc Lease renewals. Rent Reviews, Valuations
He is also director of Charterhouse, a telecoms and utilities company specialising in land and planning issues. Outside of work he enjoys participating in community voluntary projects, Park Running and family activities.
